Why should be meat at first place:

Dogs like cats are hunters, which means they are both eating prey. The digestive tract of these hunters demands sufficient supply of animal protein as the main source of energy. If it gets too little of animal protein the microbial strain in the colon could be changed and cause problems.

The EC regulates that the highest content in the pet food has to be listed at first place in the declaration of the ingredients. The one which shows the second highest content at 2^nd place a.s.o.

Why are our products free of animal by-products:

Because animal by-products are also waste of butcher like horn, hoofs, colons (including ingredients) and bones. And the source of this waste is not necessary to be from the meat source declared. Lamb meat & by-products could also have lamb meat & by-products from pigs. Furthermore the producer could list at first place in the declaration of the ingredients lamb & by-products, because he is adding both products and get the 1^st place = not necessary lamb meat is most in this brand.

Why are our products free of crop by-products:

Because crop by-products can also be nutshell, timber, waste from harvest, straw a.s.o. Nothing really bad for our dogs, but you should recall that our dogs are not herbivores but eating prey. And remember what’s listed at 1^st place is most in the food.

Why are our sensitive products showing only one singe source of meat:

We do think that this is the name of the game. No risk, just one source of meat. No wheat or other cereals. Specially with sensitive Dogs we sincerely request you to compare. We showed you the meaning of animal by-products. Have in mind that for a sensitive Dog it’s more difficult to digest 2 (or more) different source of meat.

Why are our products free of attractants:

We know that it is not a proven fact that salt, sugar or caramel is harmful for our dogs. But we are of the opinion that these contents should not be added.

Why do our products show lamb meat meal / dried lamb meat:

It doesn’t allow games. If only lamb meat would be declared the producer can take the following choice: in a 10 kg bag he is declaring 10 % of lamb meat = 1 kg. But he could declare this BEFORE the drying process, which means that during drying process lamb meat looses about 50 % of volume = just 5 % or 500 g are indeed reaching the 10 kg bag.
